I'm a tech lead at Circle. Previously I:
In the first years of my career I actively sought out opportunities to live and work around the globe. I interned at Google's office in Seoul and spent my first year at Palantir in its Singapore office. I have since settled down in my hometown of Houston, Texas and welcomed the rise of remote work. I live with my wife and our cat.
Good software serves as a foundation for us to do bigger and better things. I take great pride in building that foundation through designing intuitive APIs and implementing backends that "just work". I'm happiest when I see my robust designs and implementations elevate the productivity of others.
In my free time I like weight lifting and bouldering. When I'm not reading about software engineering I try to keep up with the latest trends in health science. As I'm writing this, my latest fascinations are minimalist shoes (also known as "barefoot" shoes) and deliberate cold exposure.
